Does The Earlie King & the Kid in Yellow have any connection to Chambers' King in Yellow story cycle? The title appears to be a pretty straightforward reference, but I'm unsure if it's just a coincidence.
It's possible there are allusions I either didn't pick up on or can't remember, but as far as I know there's no connection. (Funnily enough though I have very recently finished a book that heavily references The King in Yellow - Memento Mori by Brian Hauser.)
same! I'm in a bad reading slump / mediocre book stage, not sure what's happening but everything seems to bore me after a while... hopefully it passes soon cuz I miss being obsessed with a book! I'll give Love After Love a shot cuz I LOVE reading about unsympathetic characters, I might be in the minority but oh well :D
